Robin was born and reared in Hawthorne, Nev. She began her bowling career in second
grade at the Silver State Bowl (Babbitt, Nev., which was torn down in mid 1990s). Her
mother had a bowling teammate that was left-handed that helped Robin learn the basics
as a left hander. Robin has been bowling since then except for the few years of college.
Robin also started as the league secretary for her youth league in junior high school. In
those days, each participant has a separate sheet in a binder for their records that were
manually updated. Scoring was done with grease pencils on acetate that was projected
onto the screens above the lanes. Thank goodness for computers!
Robin has won her age division in the City Senior Tournament several times and used
the free entry into the State Senior Tournament most of those times. She has placed
high enough to earn money in city and national tournaments a handful of times.
