I’ve been around bowling ever since I was 4 and dropped a ball on my foot as I was so anxious to be like the adults on Friday Nights. The days of plastic blow-formed benches, diner food, billiards, arcades and dance floors with live bands were a main stay. Luckily my mom recognized my eagerness and off I went to Saturday Youth bowling at King Pin Lanes in West LA. From there, I was coached, and I grew into competing in City, State, and Travel Leagues throughout California during my junior high school and high school years. Bowled in the Coca Cola classic a few times, with the dreaded “Gold Pins”. I kept up with my high school friends and transitioned to adult leagues, took a break and came back a few years later. Once I moved to Carson City I started back up with leagues, working on my game and enjoying the sport. This has led to my appointments of being President of the Thursday Night Road Runners League, a position on the Carson Country USBC Board and my most rewarding accomplishment, being able to coach the youth of Saturday mornings and the Carson High School Bowling Team, bringing it full circle!
