A Lifetime of Leadership: Honoring Deanne Wass’ 40+ Years of Service

For more than 40 years, Deanne Wass has been a driving force in the Carson City bowling community. Her journey began in 1976, when she joined the Capital City Women’s Bowling Association (CCWBA), and just six years later, she stepped into leadership as a director in 1982.

Deanne went on to serve as CCWBA’s first Vice President for six years, and her impact reached beyond the local lanes as she was also elected to serve as a delegate for the Women’s National Tournament, representing her community on a larger stage.

In 1990, she became President of the Tri-County YABA, leading with dedication until the organization’s merger into what is now known as Carson Country USBC (CCUSBC). In recognition of her decades of service and tireless commitment, Deanne was honored as a Lifetime Member of the CCWBA in 2003—a well-deserved tribute to a legacy of leadership.

Thank you, Deanne, for your unwavering commitment and for shaping the foundation of women’s bowling in our community.
